Meeting Bruno Gragnani

Bruno Gragnani graduated as a Physiotherapist in Brazil in 2011, specialising in Sports Rehabilitation. He gained his general physiotherapy registration in Australia in 2019.

Bruno has extensive experience working in private clinics and sports clubs in Brazil, and in both hospital and private practice settings in Australia. He has developed strong expertise in the assessment and treatment of sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions, integrating biomechanical analysis, exercise-based rehabilitation, and manual therapy techniques.

Among sports injury prevention and load management, the rehabilitation process and biomechanical understanding of knee disorders have been Bruno’s main areas of interest. He has a particular focus on knee rehabilitation, especially patellofemoral pain, a common cause of anterior knee pain in active individuals of all ages. Bruno has had the opportunity to work alongside Jenny McConnell, internationally recognised for her taping and rehabilitation methodology for patellofemoral pain.

Bruno’s current Master by Research at La Trobe University focuses on patellofemoral pain, investigating the addition of an anti-inflammatory diet to an established exercise program for this population.

He has been a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) since 2020 and of the Brazilian National Society of Sports Physiotherapy (SONAFE) since 2014.
